From a young age, I've always been drawn to helping people feel better. While my childhood goal was to be a teacher or counselor, I ended up starting a family and focused on being a mom. Compassion plus the desire to help people feel better plus the need for flexibility in a job led me to massage therapy. As a LMT, my goal is to help peel away a layer of your stress and tension, offering complete relaxation and rejuvenation of the mind, body and soul.
From my previous job as a lifeguard and swim coach, I’ve always had the common knowledge of stretching being good for you. It wasn’t until I had a major knee injury when I fully understood the importance of self-care and listening to your body. Going through physical therapy and massage therapy as a client gave me the drive I needed to become a Licensed Massage Therapist, to find others who are looking not only for pain relief, but for others who are looking for a way to prevent injuries.
As a former aircraft mechanic in the military and later a construction worker, I suffered from many aches and pains. I had lower back and shoulder pain I thought I’d live with for the rest of my life. Luckily my best friend talked me into getting massages, it took months but now I live without those pains. I went back to college a decade later to LCC and became a licensed massage therapist. Now I want to help others like myself, who struggle with aches and pains.
Our goal is to work with you to take better care of your long-term health.
Communication is key. Let us know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order for us to best help you. In turn, we will explain the treatment and its expected benefits.
Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. Our therapists would be honored to take that journey with you.
